Distance Education & Training

Curriculum Development

This differs slightly from course development in that it is focused on an entire set of knowledge rather than a specific training objective.  While a course may cover aluminum welding, curriculum may cover all metal work done by an organization.  Or an educational institution may want to develop curriculum around a new degree area without the initial cost of hiring staff or pulling faculty away from current duties.  Both may be looking for expertise not found in the current staff or even the local area and need a partner to accomplish the work.  Academission is that partner.

In order to create and deliver the most content rich courses possible, Academission has partnered with ICOM web solutions for the processing and hosting of course video.  ICOM has been the leader in the streaming of video on the net for the past ten years.  Their proprietary encoding process allows for clean crisp video that streams without the herky-jerky stop-starts that can be seen on most streaming sites.
